Mitch Eggers

Dr. Mitch Eggers brings a broad range of experience to his position of Chief Scientist at GMI. He has been the President of Island Consulting LLC, a consulting company in the early-stage technology sector. His recent clients include a venture capital firm, a call center company, a solid-state polymer memory device company and an electronic document management company.

Dr. Eggers has served as Chief Operating Officer and as a Director of an online e-commerce company, and was an early investor and Director of Intelispan Inc., a secure private networking company that raised over $35 million. Dr. Eggers was also a Founder and served as a Director of iSecuritas Inc., an online security and courier company. From 1991 to 1995, before his career as an entrepreneur, Dr. Eggers was a Research Demographer at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe in Geneva, Switzerland. Before that, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Population Research Center, University of Chicago.

He earned his Ph.D. in 1990 at the University of Pennsylvania, and has co-authored several published research articles in leading journals.
