Rob Monster

Founder and Director

Robert W. Monster is the Founder and Director of GMI. Winner of the 2005 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in Technology and Software (Pacific Northwest), Rob has extensive experience in Information Technology, and has developed enterprise-scale information systems for use with processing of real-time data, including many of the information systems which operate GMI's web sites.

He is also the inventor of several patent-pending processes, including those described in GMI's broad patent applications in the area of online consumer research. Prior to founding GMI in 1999, Rob served as Global Product Development Manager at Procter & Gamble. During an eight-year technology management career with P&G, Rob worked and lived in Europe, Asia and North America.

He also traveled extensively in Latin America as part of his global role in leading the development and commercialization of a series of successful new product initiatives. Rob, a Dutch-American, is fluent in English, Dutch and German. He holds both a B.S. and an MBA from Cornell University, and is a member of ESOMAR, a global trade association for market research professionals. Rob is co-author of the book "Market Research in the Internet Age", published by John Wiley & Sons.
