GMI Closes Acquisition of MI PRO in Norway

Global company strengthens European presence with decision to establish new technical centre in Norway

London, November 28, 2005 - GMI (Global Market Insite, Inc.), the only provider of integrated solutions for global market research, today announced the completion of its acquisition of MI Pro AS, based in Drøbak, Norway. MI Pro AS is a developer of next-generation desktop analytics software for market research agencies and professionals.

The completion of the acquisition is part of a wider European strategy for GMI. The company recently announced the expansion of its European management team with four senior appointments, all of which came from SPSS Europe. The senior management team now includes Leon de Koning, Managing Director, Northern Europe based in the Netherlands; Uwe Lorenz, Managing Director, Central and Eastern Europe based in Germany; Mitra Asilzadeh, Client Services Director, Europe, and Mario Menti, Associate Director, Solutions Architect, both based in the UK. In addition, the company is planning new European language versions of its powerful NET-MR software to be released during 2006.

MI Pro AS will be run as a wholly owned subsidiary of GMI based in Norway and Sweden. Rob Monster, founder and CEO of Seattle-based GMI, will join the company’s board alongside Per Jacobsen, CEO of MI Pro, and Erik Sandersen, partner at Oslo-based investment company Selvaag Invest. The subsidiary’s goal will be to further develop as a global centre of excellence for developing advanced data analytics and visualization software for market research.

Commenting on the formation of the new subsidiary, Rob Monster said: “GMI is investing aggressively in Europe to provide its European clients with world class software and services solutions tailored to local needs. By using MI Pro as the basis for a regional technical centre in the Nordic region we intend to become a magnet for technologists with the talent to progress the development of market research software solutions”

“From the first time GMI and MI Pro were introduced to each other four years ago, the great potential of combining their respective technologies was envisioned,” says Per Jacobsen. “The realization of this idea opens the market for solutions not yet seen in market research today.”

MI Pro software is designed to offer substantial cost reductions, true multi-modal interviewing with fully automated and integrated Print/Scan, CATI, CAPI, WEB, and PDA capabilities. By taking a truly holistic, integrated and multi-modal approach to research, this software breaks through the barriers and limitations of today’s technology. It delivers astonishing results for a fraction of the effort through taking a fresh approach to every step of the research process: from designing the questions, through collecting and validating the responses, to presenting the findings.
