Press releaseGMI Strengthens Executive TeamCompany hires new CFO and VP of HR to support global growthSeattle, Wash., October 18, 2006 - GMI (Global Market Insite, Inc.), a global market intelligence solutions provider with worldwide headquarters in Mercer Island, Wash., today announced that it has strengthened its executive team with the addition of Michael Vernon as chief financial officer and Judy Loucks as vice president of human resources. Vernon and Loucks join GMI at a time when the company is experiencing rapid organic growth in addition to consolidating acquisitions on multiple continents. Vernon brings more than 20 years of financial and business experience to GMI. He comes from aQuantive Inc. of Seattle, where he served as chief financial officer for almost six years. During his tenure, Vernon was responsible for all financial operations and reporting for the public-traded Internet technology company, and helped grow the company's revenue base to approximately $425 million in 2006 and a market capitalization of more than $2 billion. Prior to aQuantive, Vernon held various C-level positions with Park Plaza International in Scottsdale, Ariz., Red Lion Hotels in Vancouver, Wash., and the Port of Sacramento, Calif. He holds an MBA and a B.S. in Mathematics from Stanford University. Loucks also brings over 20 years of HR and organizational development experience to GMI, joining from Community Health Network of Washington in Seattle, where she served for three years as vice president, human resources and organizational effectiveness. Prior to CHN, Loucks was vice president, human resources for Philips Oral Healthcare (formerly Optiva Corporation) in Snoqualmie, Wash., where headcount grew from 150 to over 1,100 during her tenure. She also provided strategic direction and operational management for the company's global business activities. Prior to Philips Oral Healthcare, Loucks held HR positions at Nichirei Foods America in Fife , Wash. and Security Properties Investment, Inc. in Seattle. She holds a B.A. in political science from the University of Montana, and an M.A. in organizational development from Antioch University in Seattle.
