GMI Ranks #105 on Deloitte's 2006 Technology Fast 500
2006 company expansion on track with new acquisitions and executive hires
Seattle, Wash. - October 20, 2006 - GMI (Global Market Insite, Inc.) today announced that it ranked Number 105 on Deloitte's 2006 Technology Fast 500, a ranking of the 500 fastest-growing technology, media, telecommunications and life sciences companies in North America. Rankings are based on percentage revenue growth over five years from 2001 to 2005. GMI's revenue grew by 2008 percent during this period thanks to the addition of new local offices around the world and the acquisitions of three companies in 2005, including NetReflector (Seattle, Wash.), MI Pro (Norway) and Insight/Sunrise (China). In 2006, GMI's growth trend will continue with the acquisition of Media Intelligence in London, UK, and the recent hiring of Michael Vernon as chief financial officer and Judy Loucks as vice president of human resources, two very seasoned executives who have both worked respectively for such successful, high-growth companies as aQuantive and Philips Oral Healthcare.
"After recently ranking #4 on Deloitte's Fast 50 for Washington State, receiving such a high ranking on the Deloitte Fast 500 is another testament to the hard work and dedication of all our employees around the world over the past five years," comments Robert W. Monster, founder, chairman of the board and CEO of GMI. "By adding such experienced professionals as Michael Vernon and Judy Loucks to our executive team, we are preparing ourselves for continued record revenue and employee growth in 2006 around the world."
Overall, companies that ranked on the 2006 Technology Fast 500 had growth rates ranging from 209 to 48,948 percent over five years, with an average growth rate of 2,145 percent.
"To rank on Deloitte's Technology Fast 500, companies must have phenomenal revenue growth over five years," said Tony Kern, deputy managing principal of Deloitte's Technology, Media & Telecommunications industry practice. "GMI has proven to be one of the fast-growth success stories in North America, and we applaud their dedication to making their vision a reality."
