Parker brings more than 10 years of financial expertise to the company. For the past three years, he served as vice president at Seattle-based Getty Images, a leading creator and distributor of visual digital content. There, Parker's global responsibilities spanned financial planning and analysis, treasury, business development, investor relations, real estate and a $20M license compliance P&L. "I have had the privilege of working with David in the past, and he makes an invaluable addition to GMI's executive team," explains Mike Brochu, CEO of GMI. "His extensive financial and business experience has made a significant contribution to the success of several software and technology companies. Prior to Getty Images, Parker served as manager of business development for new growth platforms at General Electric Company (GE) in Cincinnati, OH, where he was responsible for executive-level business planning, strategy development and M&A execution. Ranked as a top 10 percent performer, he was selected for GE's three-course Executive Education series. Before GE, Parker worked as vice president of business development, finance and operations for Seattle-based technology start-up Nimble Technology, for which he helped raise $14 million in capital funding. During his career, he also served as director of corporate development and investor relations at Primus Knowledge Solutions where he was instrumental in developing and implementing a business plan leading to the company's successful IPO. As director of business development and investor relations for Bellevue-based Sierra On-Line from 1995 to 1998, Parker was actively involved in the company's $1 billion sale, and secured product distribution rights translating into over $10 million in recurring revenues. Parker began his career as an auditor with Coopers & Lybrand LLP. Parker holds a B.S. degree in accounting from the University of Oregon, and is a graduate of the International Business Program at The Netherlands School of Business in Breukelen, The Netherlands.
