This is an error that occurs on some Windows 64bit systems. Click OK to ignore this error, and installation will proceed.

I receive a 1935 error: "An error occurred during the installation of assembly component {7D4B5591-4C80-42BB-B0E5-F2C0CEE02C1A}. HRESULT: -2147319761."

  • Restart your computer and try again. This can often do the trick.

Troubleshooting

How do I publish to Adobe PDF?

Research Analyzer requires an additional download and installation for PDF publishing to work. Please click here to download instructions (PDF).

Why does my antivirus program give a warning message when I open or try to run a script in Research Analyzer?

Research Analyzer uses Internet Explorer (IE) to present tables, etc. Depending on your own security settings for IE (to view your settings, click on the Tools menu, go to Internet Options and then open the Security tab) you may get a warning message from your anti-virus software.

If this is the case, you will need to select “Allow Scripts” for the scripts that are used to display Research Analyzer information in Internet Explorer.

What does it mean when I receive an XtreamLok Alert error?

This error is caused by a component of our software licensing application. Xlok opens the alert when the environment that is running is seen as unsafe, i.e. that the security could be compromised. Generally there is a debugger program loaded into memory at this time but sometimes an "innocent" program can trigger the error as they are doing something out of the ordinary. You should close all your applications in memory to determine which one is causing the error.

To close all your applications in memory, hold down CTRL+ALT+DEL and go into Task Manager.

I am working behind a firewall. Why can I not run Research Analyzer LiveUpdate to download the latest updates?

To use Research Analyzer LiveUpdate, FTP access on a port (by default, port 21) is required. However, some firewalls will have to be configured to pass certain file extensions such as, but not limited to, *.exe, *.dll and *.ocx. Please contact your network administrator about bypassing these restrictions.
